How do I improve feeling in my thumb after a cut has scarred?
A year ago I cut my thumb. I should have gotten stitches, but didn't, it has healed, although with a scar.
For the first few months I had no feeling in half my thumb, but that has comeback. It now feels like that pins and needles feeling you get when your leg falls asleep.
The problem I'm having is with the build up of scar tissue. When I grip things it feels like there is a hard lump. It's not painful, just uncomfortable.
Anything I can do? Will it get better with time?
You may need to go to the doctor to have some of that scar tissue removed. Have a doctor check it out just to see if it is healing properly.
