It is easier to achieve a quick result if the washing machine were to be located near water and electricity supplies. You will need access to hot and cold water supplies ,although some machines like a Bosch need only a cold water supply as the machine heats the water to the required temperature .It also requires planning: where is the waste going to go? how much space do you have? can you get access behind the machine in case something goes wrong??
You will need: 15mm copper pipe, elbow joints either push fit or compression fittings, a pair of standard washing machine hoses if these were not supplied with the machine
The process: With the water supply turned off, either make new connections using the copper pipe and elbows to re-route the water supply to make a new connection for the washing machine or to make life easier, use a self cutting tap connector. Connect the end of the washing machine inlet hoses to the new water supply, the supply pipes to the washing machine should be fitted with special washing machine shut off valves, these are usually coloured red(for hot water supply)Blue (for clod water supply).They are special to washing machines because the ends only attach to the hoses
If the waste is to be taken outside then you need to drill a hole using a hole cutter attached to a drill bit which is the same diameter as the pipe going outside. If it is to be attached to the existing waste then you need a hole bore and the kit to make the connection to the existing waste pipe these can be obtained from the DIY store and are usually grey in colour. Connect up the waste pipes using pipe cement to weld the pipes together. Connecting the waste to the existing waste supply is easier than connecting it to an outside waste because unlike the one connection you make when connecting to an existing waste you have the extra work of running lengthy pipe work outside and possibly around corners. You can also position the waste in a standpipe with the hose just stuck into a stand alone pipe.
Whichever method you use, make sure that the pipes are securely fastened to the wall using pipe clips.Finally,fit the machines supply hoses to the back of the machine, open the shut off valves that open and close the water supply into the machine, making sure that all connections are secure and tight. Push the machine back into position, plug into electric supply and test
