Just got my first tat&the ink looks like it'sthin on my skin i want to know the proper needle angle for tatooi

The "artist" held the gun at an angle similar to when one is using a pen. A friend said the needle should have been going straight into my skin. Help.

Your tattoo is going to look differently after a couple of weeks. When you first get it it will start to puff up and swell a little and then scab over. After that skin will peel off and it will then look like what it will look like (it will be a little lighter than how it looks originally)

I think that if you aren't happy with it once the skin peels, you should probably go back to the store and complain.
